THE PROJECT

A complete AC package for a new healthcare branch.

UK Cooling and Heating Services delivered the complete Mitsubishi Electric VRF air-conditioning installation. The project served a new healthcare facility with 25 indoor units connected through a coordinated R410A system.

The interior used exposed building services as part of its finished appearance. UKCH's indoor equipment, refrigeration pipework, condensate and controls therefore had to be positioned accurately alongside ductwork and other services installed by the wider project team.

High ceilings and differing floor levels added another layer of complexity. Pipework was brought between levels and concealed within the construction where required, while the complete installation was delivered in four weeks.

UKCH SCOPE

Full VRF air-conditioning installation and commissioning.

The surrounding exposed ductwork and architectural services formed part of the wider project; UKCH's responsibility was the complete air-conditioning package.

01

Indoor equipment

Positioning and installation of 25 Mitsubishi Electric indoor units throughout the new facility.

02

VRF plant

Installation and connection of the associated Mitsubishi Electric outdoor equipment.

03

Refrigeration pipework

Complete R410A distribution, including high-level routes, branch connections and changes in level.

04

Condensate & controls

Associated condensate services and air-conditioning controls installed as part of the package.

05

Testing & commissioning

Pressure testing, evacuation, charging and commissioning of the completed systems.

06

Trade coordination

Daily coordination around high ceilings, exposed services and multiple contractors working concurrently.

THE RESULT

A coordinated 25-unit installation completed in four weeks.

The completed system provides the new facility with a fully commissioned Mitsubishi Electric VRF solution. Careful route planning and close coordination kept the air-conditioning package aligned with the exposed interior, changes in level and fast-moving construction programme.
